Rebecca (Becca) Johnson

Growing up in the vast beauty of the Catskill Mountains in upstate New York, Rebecca Johnson knew that there was more opportunity outside of her small community and took the chance of a lifetime. A week after her high school graduation, Rebecca Johnson moved to New Jersey and landed a part-time job working with a local attorney's office answering phones in the evenings, while attending college classes on a full-time schedule during the day. With hard work, dedication and perseverance through some tough times, she graduated from Berkeley College of Business with a degree in Business Management.

With a college degree in her back pocket, she landed a job working for one of the most prestigious investment banks on Wall Street, JP Morgan Chase. With her whole life ahead of her, she was determined to make a difference in the world. Her time on Wall Street was where she gained valuable knowledge of many industries, and the way the different markets and the business world worked. She decided after several years of working in Corporate America that she needed a change. This would be the start of a new chapter in her life and welcomed it with open arms.

In September of 1999 Rebecca Johnson decided to go back to school and get another degree in something that intrigued her most of her life - Therapeutic Massage Therapy. Through her studies, she inspired and motivated many people into change and helped to heal their inner inhibitions by opening her own business, The Emerson Alternative Wellness Center. As with any new business, she gained much insight into the processes of ownership. She learned marketing strategies, promotional advertising, screening and hiring of new employees, basic accounting practices and how much sweat and tears goes into a start-up business. The business was a thriving success, but due to an injury, she could not continue massaging and took a hiatus from the industry while she recuperated.

Rebecca Johnson bounced back with a positive attitude and a better plan. Her visionary outlook on life makes her want to help the world be a better place for everyone. Her need to keep everything on track, her desire to organize and keep a tight running ship, structuring came naturally to her. She began the next phase of her life going into companies reorganizing their company office policies, designing a new office infra-structure and implementing strategies to assist the company in decreasing expenditures, therefore increasing the bottom line. Her organizational skills, management style and ability to interact with all levels within a company from warehouse workers to upper level management have made her sore to great success.

In late 2007, Rebecca Johnson was offered an opportunity to assist in the reorganization of the International Fight league (IFL). They were in the midst of undergoing a complete overhaul to try and save a sinking ship. With her past experiences, her quest for new challenges, her ability to jump into any situation with both feet firmly planted on the ground, she took this opportunity to test her skills. Once on board, she restructured both the New York and Las Vegas offices' to make them run more efficiently by cutting basic operating costs in half by researching, acquiring and maintaining new vendors, setting up new company accounts and was always on the prowl for new ways to save the company money. Rebecca Johnson even organized and moved the entire New York office to a new location single handedly. She assisted in organizing the needs of the New York office, fighters, coaches and guests during event week. It was through the IFL that Rebecca Johnson befriended her colleague, Jan Hubbard. Even though the IFL was in the process of bankruptcy, she saw the company through to the end and both Jan Hubbard and Rebecca Johnson decided to venture into a new market - the medicals and licensing market for combative athletes.

Rebecca Johnson is a 34 year old visionary who sees the positive in any situation. She envisions ways to help make processes easier for all concerned and dedicates her hours to make her dreams reality. She is a leader and doesn't admit defeat easily. With a new company and extreme dedication, MedLic will sore to new heights and become a well known name in the MMA industry, with the help of her partner, Jan Hubbard.
